A psychologist and certified professional coach in Integral development, Manuela has extensive experience in therapy, organisation development, consulting, coaching, training, and informal conflict resolution.
She has worked in numerous environments, ranging from federal departments, as a senior advisor, to community and municipal settings, and private practice as psychologist, consultant, and coach.
Manuela holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Counselling from the University of Ottawa and is a graduate of the Canadian Institute for Conflict Resolution Third Party Neutral Program. She is a member of l’Ordre des psychologues du Québec (OPQ), the International Coach Federation (ICF), the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science (ACBS), and the Canadian ADHD Resource Alliance (CADDRA).
Some of her areas of interest are personal and professional development, anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, and adult ADHD. She has accompanied thousands of persons over the course of key organisational changes and life transitions, both through psychotherapy and coaching.
Her integrative approach combines tools and perspectives from Humanistic/Existential, Cognitive-behavioral and Third wave psychotherapies, most specifically Mindfulness based interventions. She has advanced training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and has a special interest in schema and compassion focused therapy.
She practices what she teaches by participating regularly in meditation retreats and maintaining a daily Mindfulness practice.
She is fluent in English, French, and Portuguese and has working knowledge of Spanish and Italian.
